That’s the whole model: no joining fee, no lead fees, no subscription, no charge for your Passport page. If you don’t earn, we don’t. How many jobs you win depends on your trade, your area and your reviews — we won’t pretend otherwise.

Verification
What we'll check — and keep checking
Verification is what makes your passport worth something. Here's exactly what it involves for the trades you select.
Identity & insurance — everyone
Photo ID check, and the current public liability insurance the Hero Agreement requires, expiry-tracked. When your insurance renews, upload the new certificate and our team reviews it. The Hero Agreement requires you to keep your cover in force for as long as the Agreement runs, and lets us suspend or end it if a credential fails.
Gas work — Gas Safe registration
Your Gas Safe card and registration number, reviewed by our team and kept current in your credential wallet, as the Hero Agreement requires. The Agreement also requires you to stop offering gas work if your registration lapses, is suspended or is restricted.
Electrical work — qualification evidence
Competent person scheme membership (NICEIC, NAPIT or equivalent) or equivalent qualification evidence, reviewed by our team.
Specialist categories
F-Gas for air conditioning refrigerant work, and category-specific requirements where regulation demands them. We'll tell you exactly what's needed for the trades you select.
