Joining as a Hero: what it costs and how it works
Listing is free: no joining fee, no lead fees and no subscription. You quote your own price, and 90% releases straight to your bank via Stripe when the client confirms the work is complete.
What it costs
Nothing to join, and nothing to be listed. No joining fee, no lead fee, no subscription.
The platform takes 10% of the job price, out of the payment when the job completes. You never buy a lead, and you never pay for a job you did not win.
An optional paid Hero Pro tier is planned for later. Nothing in it exists yet, and the core deal - verified profile, public Hero Passport, structured job briefs, secure payment - stays free.
From quote to bank
- Quote. Open jobs in your trades appear on your dashboard. Quote your own price.
- Win and book. The client accepts, and the job books at your price.
- Client pays. The money is held securely before you lift a tool. No invoice chasing.
- Do the work. Schedule in the app, update the timeline, get it confirmed.
- Paid. The client confirms, and 90% releases straight to your bank via Stripe.
Before any of that: verification
You cannot quote until you are verified. Verification is reviewed by a person, usually within about three hours once your documents are in, and then you sign your personalised Hero Agreement electronically.
How Hero verification works sets out what is checked and why. The step-by-step Hero verification guide covers the part that actually trips people up: the photographs.
