The quote is the price
You approve a single figure before paying. The platform physically cannot charge you more than the quote you accepted — there is no card-on-file to surprise you with.
Changes need YOUR approval first
Found rot behind the bath panel? The Hero sends a variation — the amount and the reason, word for word — and nothing changes unless you approve it in-app. Approved extras are collected under the same payment protection. Declined? The original price stands.
No booking fees. Ever.
London Heroes charges you no booking fee and adds no surcharge of its own. Heroes set their own prices, including call-out charges and emergency premiums for urgent or out-of-hours work, and it is all in the price you see before you pay. Our 10% comes out of the professional's side and appears on every transaction record.
Held until you confirm
Payment is held from booking and released when you confirm completion, or after a dispute you raise is resolved in the Hero's favour. Cancel before work starts: full refund to your original payment method.
Straight answers
Can a tradesperson on London Heroes increase the price during a job?
Not unilaterally. A quote on London Heroes can only change through a variation request — the amount and reason shown word for word — which the client must approve in-app before it takes effect. Approved extras are collected under the same payment protection; declined variations leave the original price standing.
Do Heroes charge call-out fees or emergency premiums?
Yes. Heroes set their own prices, including call-out charges and emergency premiums for urgent or out-of-hours work, and whatever the Hero charges is part of the price you see before you pay. London Heroes itself adds no booking fee or surcharge, and the platform's 10% commission is paid by the professional.
